The purpose of the Nevada Sex Offender Registry is to provide information to the public concerning the location of sex offenders within LVMPD's jurisdiction. The registry is NOT intended to supplant the community notification process, but rather, it allows LVMPD to promote public awareness concerning the potential threat that sex offenders pose to LVMPD's jurisdiction citizens. An informed public is a safer public.
Realizing that it is impossible to notify every citizen about a sex offender's presence in their community, the registry will empower you to obtain information on some sex offenders and take the appropriate precautions. Furnishing the public with information regarding convicted sex offenders is a critical step towards encouraging the public to protect themselves from potential future acts.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has established this link for the most up to date information possible of the registered sex offenders, that have been TIER rated as a TIER 2 & 3 by the State Sex Offender Registry, living and/or working within LVMPD jurisdiction.
The registry does not contain information on all convicted sex offenders. Information is only provided for sex offenders with a risk assessment score of TIER level 2 & 3. The general public will be able to access the information on TIER level 2 & 3 offenders only. The LVMPD Sex Offender Detail updates there information with the State regularly, however, you are cautioned that the information may not reflect the current residential street or work information regarding the offender. If you believe that any of the information found in these records are in error please contact the LVMPD Sex Offender Detail at 702-828-2963.
THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IS INTENDED FOR COMMUNITY SAFETY PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE USED TO THREATEN, HARASS, OR INTIMIDATE AN OFFENDER. MISUSE OF THIS INFORMATION OR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY DIRECTED AGAINST AN OFFENDER MAY RESULT IN CRIMINAL PROSECUTION and/or CIVIL ACTION.
